PineIsle Golf Club
This Gary Player-designed course may fool you with its length, but check your egos. The 6,514-yard layout plays to a par of 72 and by today’s standards that may sound short, but it has a lot of twists and turns. It’s a fun course, but it is challenging. The lake comes into play on 8 holes and the thick stands of trees affect every shot. The opening hole is a 368-yard par 4, dogleg right and if you do not place your tee shot accurately, you will pay dearly. The lengthy par-4's, Nos. 8 and 16, can both send a good round crashing with big numbers. The combination of challenge and beauty comes together on the par 5 #5, called "cocktail cove". Scores of visiting boats provide a gallery to witness just how much your want to cut off on this dog-leg left over the water. The finishing hole may be one of the best in the state. This par 4, dogleg left layout requires two shots over water with an approach shot to a peninsula green. Keep you ball dry and you have accomplished a great finish.

Emerald Pointe Golf Club
You wonder what Joe Lee was thinking when he designed this track. The densely wooded, sloping land that abuts the back coves of Lake Lanier is the setting for this layout. Twelve holes wrap around the fingers of these coves, providing pleasantly distracting scenery throughout your round. The course is not long, but you better be accurate. The best inland hole is #8, a par 5 the drops out of sight beyond the driving target, but recovers nicely with a gently left rolling uphill approach to a well-conceived green setting at the base of a thick woods and bordered by an old oak tree to the right and pines to the left. The locals often called this course the Pebble Beach of Georgia because of its series of water holes. The par 5 15th will challenge you to go for it in two. It is risky, but very obtainable.

Royal Lakes Golf Club
If you're looking for more trees and water, then this Arthur Davis design will do it for you. Rolling terrain with narrow fairways will make you admire the thick growth of trees while you look for your ball. Additionally, there are five doglegs fairways on the course.
The course features a par 5 with an island green. Bermuda fairways and tees, large L93 bentgrass greens in great condition, sod wall bunkers. Royal Lakes opened in 1990 and was closed in the summer of 2002 undergoing a $2 million dollar renovation. This course has been a favorite for a long time. If you like island greens, then you'll like the 11th hole. It takes 3 good shots to get to the green on this awesome par 5. Par is a great score. This course is definitely named correctly. Lots of lakes (on 7 holes), and royal scenery. A must play!
