Milton. Legendary golf Scotland style can be found right here on the beautiful Florida coast. It's a perfect day for a round or two on the 6,900-yard course at the club known as The Moors Golf and Lodging. Designed by John B. LaFoy and patterned after a links course in Scotland, the birthplace of golf, The Moors provides both the high handicapper and seasoned professional an ideal setting to improve that swing. Relax in the clubhouse, dine at the grille, and stay the night in the full-featured lodge.  This is a perfect place to stay for your group.  Each room follows a theme inspired by a famous British Open course, with past champions adorning the walls--Jack Nicklaus in the St. Andrew's, Gary Player and Nick Faldo in the Muirfield... Gather in the greatroom with its large screen TV (for watching the Golf Channel), wet bar, and impressive golf library for brushing up on golf's rich history while enjoying all the modern conveniences. Enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast as you plan your day, and take in the view from the shaded porch and private balcony, which overlook the driving range and putting green. It's the many special touches that make a stay at The Moors so memorable.

Courses:

The Moors
John LaFoy designed the track and was built in 1993. This Scottish links-style course has no trees, but water hazards come into play on six holes, and the numerous pot bunkers, plus the thick rough bordering all the fairways, really add to its difficulty. The signature hole is #3, a 198-yard, par 3, because it was designed after the famous "Postage Stamp" at Royal Troon in Scotland. The visual similarities are apparent, but this hole is about 75 yards longer. The green is protected on all sides by five large bunkers. Green is large, offering several difficult hole locations. The terrain is rolling, and the greens are large, undulating, and medium speed. The club hosted the Nike Tour's Pensacola Classic, in 1994 and now hosts the Emerald Coast Classic, a Senior PGA Tour event.

Lost Key
From tee to green, this Arnold Palmer-designed track is exceptional. This beautiful, heavily-wooded course is challenging to all golfers, and requires precision play. The greens are very large, fast and undulating, while the fairways are tree lined, medium width and fairly flat. Water hazards come into play on eleven holes, dogleg fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. The signature hole is #13, a 148-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a somewhat island green, which is quite undulated. Audubon International worked with Lost Key from its inception to develop and implement design criteria and management strategies. In other words, there are some great native areas out on the course and the carts that feature on-board computerized GPS yardage system will help you navigate through them. Enjoy the scenery.

Tiger Point
This club has two outstanding eighteen hole courses. Built along the shore of scenic Santa Rosa Sound, both of Tiger Point's 18-hole courses offer spectacular views of the water and surrounding woodlands. The East Course – This one is a links-style championship course. There is water that comes into play on fourteen holes. The signature hole for this course is #5, a 390-yard, par 4, with an approach shot to an island green. Old time Florida designer Bill Amick started the project in 1979 and Ron Garl and Jerry Pate designed nine new holes on the East Course, which were added in 1984, and Pate then did another redesign in 1989. Developed for major tournament play, the course has served as a stop on the 1988 PGA Tour. The West Course – This course features two separate nines where the front is more open than the back. Bill Amick started his work on this course in 1965. The fairways have some sand bunkers. The West Course is the shorter of the two. The West Course, nestled beneath towering pines and bordered by native vegetation and sea oats, is known for its superior "Back Nine."

Hidden Creek
This course was built on rolling terrain and has tree-lined fairways. The signature hole is #11, a 382-yard, par 4, featuring a short dogleg left fairway that is cut out of pines and plays to a large kidney-bean-shaped green. The Club at Hidden Creek is renowned for its excellent condition, fast greens, lush landscaping and picturesque rolling terrain. Considered challenging enough to host the U.S. Open Qualifying Rounds, Hidden Creek is recognized as one of the Top 201 "Places to Play in North America" by Golf Digest magazine. Ron Garl worked his magic here in 1988. Simply put, those who venture to The Club at Hidden Creek discover one of Florida’s finest golf experiences.
