Endwell.
One of my favorite areas in New York State offers beautiful
scenery
and great golf. Experience a PGA Tour course and lots of fun Lodging
would be either at the new bed and breakfast or for groups of eight
golfers, you can experience the Farmhouse affectionately nicknamed the
"caddy shack" by the BC Open pro players. This 100-year-old farmhouse
is both charming and comfortable and has been newly renovated. It
features 8 single beds in 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, full kitchen,
private back deck and a screened in porch for playing cards. Includes
lodging, green fees, cart and taxes. |

En-Joi Golf
Club
This beautiful championship golf course in located in Endicott,
nestled in the heart of the Susquehanna
Valley. Home to the PGA Tour’s BC Open from 1972 to 2006, boasting
champions the likes of Tom Kite, John Daly, Brad Faxon and Craig Stadler.
Since July 2007, the course plays host tot the Champions Tour’s Dick’s
Sporting Goods Open. This track is fairly flat, but with
tree-lined fairways and plenty of water hazards. In fact, water comes
into play on ten holes. Most of the greens are slightly sloped, but
some are very undulating. The signature hole is #15, a 432-yard par 4,
which was continuously listed by the PGA Tour as one of the eighteen
toughest holes in the US. It requires two well-positioned shots over
water to have a chance at a birdie. Water all along the left side of
the hole and a bunker on the right, guards this very narrow fairway.
The green is slick and runs back towards the water.
Endwell Greens Golf Club
This track, designed by Geoffrey Cornish and Bill Robinson in 1965,
features
tree-lined fairways that are wide. You may experience generous landing
areas, but you will encounter seven dogleg fairways. Ponds and creeks
also come into play on eight holes. The greens are very large and
undulating and some are well protected by bunkers. This hilly course
will also give you a few uneven lies. There is also a new 6-hole, Par 3
course, plus horseshoes, bocci ball, volleyball, badminton and
basketball. What a place to stay and play!
Conklin
Players Club
CPC will
challenge the mind as well as the body. The front nine is rolling and
the back nine was designed to play up a mountain. #16, 17 & 18 are up,
up and away! So get ready. This Rick Rickard designed course of 1991
features open fairways and greens of medium speed and size. Water
hazards (dra inage
ditches and ponds) come into play on eight holes. Hole #8 will get you
ready for a brew at the turn. The 420-yard long, par 4 challenges you
with water all along the right side. You can save some distance off
your drive, but don't cut too much water.
The uplink
3-D color graphic caddy (GPS) system is installed on all golf carts.
Ranked as one of the 201 best public golf courses in North America
earning a 4 1/2 star rating from Golf Digest 2000-2007. ZAGAT Rated 2005

The Links at Hiawatha Landing
This
links-style track was designed by Brian Silva and Mike Mungeam and is
rated 4 Stars by Golf Digest with special recognition for service
and course condition. It was built on gently rolling topography and
features wind swept sand bunkers and native grasses in the rough.
Water comes into play on seven holes, yet there are no forced carries.
Best of all, there are no blind tee shots or blind greens. Beautiful
views of the Susquehanna River may be seen
from many holes. Hole #14 is absolutely stunning. This one plays tough
with fairway bunkers on both sides of the landing area and a fast,
undulating green tucked behind a trap in front and on the right.
The
17th and 18th holes are two of the most exciting finishing holes on any
course. From the first tee to the last green, The Links at Hiawatha
Landing issues an endless series of choices, making each hole and each
round as inspiring as the first. Situated along the banks of the
Susquehanna River between the Finger Lakes and the Catskill Mountains,
The Links at Hiawatha Landing may be New York State’s best kept secret.
