Middleburg. This is a golfer’s haven. The Ravines Club and Lodge is located in Middleburg, 40 minutes from the city. You could close your eyes and open them up and think you were in the rolling hills of North Carolina and if you were here a few years ago you would have see the filming of G.I. Jane. You will be staying in an executive suite with four beds, 2 baths and full-sized kitchen facilities. Relax on the rocking chairs on the verandah. Quad occupancy. Includes green fees, cart and taxes. |

Ravines Club Designer Mark McCumber took this unusually hilly terrain and weaved his magic. Besides the roller coaster ride you will experience, this 4 star track features fast, elevated greens. The spectacular scenery competes with the challenge of the golf. The members feel they have four signature holes, but my favorite is #4, a 422-yard, par 4, because it has ravines guarding both sides of its green. first class facility features 60 feet high pine trees along its
fairways, but designer Clyde Johnston provides you with plenty of
landing room. Water comes into play on every hole. I’m not kidding,
every hole you will find a lake or stream. The good thing is there are
only twenty-five bunkers, but they come into play as well. The greens
are fast and multi-leveled. It is beautiful, scenic and challenging and
that is why it keeps its 4 star rating.

design with assistance from Mark McCumber features fast, large sloping
greens. The continuing theme on this course is water and mounds, water
and mounds. Water hazards come into play on nine holes. The signature
hole is #11, a 459-yard par 4, requiring a shot over a ravine to the
green.
